Well, not so much has happened since my last post, but I thought I would update you and share some photo's.
Firstly, we have had some lovely weather and this encouraged me to take some photo's of the garden to share with you all.
This is the Patio that we had laid in August 2011. It looks settled in now and is starting to weather well. We have some planters there, made for my by my friend Bruce. Next year, they will each have a grow bag in planted up with something nice. The pots were given to me by my friend Karen and as you can see we have some winter flowering pansies in them and a trough that I had with some lovely viola's. I love pansy's - they remind me of my granny and they look like little faces smiling back at you from the garden. Purple is also my favourite colour.
The little enclosed garden by the barn is looking nice now. Mike has put down some weed-supressent on the beds with bark on top. He has also trimmed the willow right back by the pond. The blue tits won't be to happy about this, but it will come back nice next year. I am also hopeful that the roses that we have planted will come out beautiful next year. I do love roses and there are an additional six in the garden this year. Four of those are in the enclosed garden.
The following photo's will give you an idea of the work ahead in part of the garden we have claimed back from the chickens:
These photo's show you the patch of ground I have to play with and the jobs I need to do before I can start to make it look better and have some nice things growing there. I will talk more about my plans for this area next time Bloggers.
